With a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism, Sharael has more than twenty years of experience as a nationally published journalist and author. Her work has appeared in various magazines, newspapers and websites, including Outside magazine, Sunset magazine, Laguna Beach magazine, Newport Beach magazine, Working Woman magazine, About.com, CNET News.com, Examiner.com, Forbes Travel, Orbitz, Expedia and more.
Sharael also worked as a Web Producer for ZDTV (TechTV), ZDNet News, CNET News.com, and NBCOlympics.com where she utilized her skills in HTML, CSS, Javascript, Photoshop, Illustrator, Director, DreamWeaver and WordPress.
In 2003, she switched her focus to photography and started a portrait photography business that specialized in pregnancy, newborn and family portraiture. This experience also led to commercial photo shoots for Columbia Sportswear and Mountain Sprouts, as well as fine art photography exhibits in California and Hawaii.
